Advocacy

ADA's advocacy department serves as a voice for people with diabetes, communicating the needs of people with diabetes to lawmakers, and advocating for diabetes research, awareness, and prevention programs across the country. In addition to working with Congress on legislative efforts, ADA's legal advocacy program protects people with diabetes in the courtroom as well. Advocacy efforts directly benefit people with diabetes in schools, in the workplace, at public venues, in relation to health care, and in many other arenas.
